We are considering moving from Chicago to Charlotte.
What is the job market like and do you think the pay is as good as it is in Chicago?
i live in orlando florida and i just had my cdl heard good things about north carolina and i want to move to either raleigh or charlotte which one has lots of trucking companies,would it be hard to find a job without experience,how much they pay ,thanks for the help.

I was wondering if the city of Charlotte hires seasonal employees? For any of the departments (Utilities, Street, Parks, etc). I go to school in Charlotte but I am from Minnesota. I am planning on living in Charlotte this summer, last summer in Minnesota I worked for my cities Utility department as a seasonal employee making 12.75 an hour and it was the best job I have ever had. I am wondering if the city of Charlotte hires these employees and if anyone has any idea how well they pay?
I am planning to move and am trying to get some research done to make an educated move, and Raleigh NC sounds like I would like it but I haven’t been able to find out if it is easy to get a job. Like something entery level, construction or restaurant jobs. Could anyone tell me anything about it?
My husband and I are looking for a long term house sitting/ house minding job in either Hilton Head Island, SC or near Beaufort, SC. Thinking maybe someone has a vacation home they only use 2-3 months out of the year and just need someone to be there the rest of the time. Any idea how I would go about searching for something like this?

How much do houses cost in this area?
How bad is the job situations up and down the Eastern Seaboard from Florida which I know is bad, to the furthest northern states? I ask because my folks seem to think the jobs are better up in North Carolina… I hear how bad it is here in Florida. How about country wide?
I am trying to return to the Charlotte area and take a job with my company in Raleigh. Unfortunately, I don’t enjoy driving and so I am not interested in driving everyday. I am hoping to find some shuttle or express serviced that travels daily between the two. I have looked at Amtrak and they are rather costly. Thanks!
