Has anybody relocated to Charlotte area from Florida?
I will be relocating to Matthews NC in less than a week. I am curious to hear feedback from people that have relocated to the Charlotte area from Florida. I currently living in Tampa, FL.
What is the best School districts in or near Charlotte?
I am interested in any information on good schools in NC. Preferably Charlotte area Near or on a lake. ..We are looking to relocate my Husbands company has an office in Charlotte … I need to be like 30 min from downtown area.. I love lake living and of course the mountains- If there is a way to have both Great ..If not Lake will do..
I am moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. Which area has the best public schools and neighborhoods?
We are relocating and I have NEVER been to Charlotte. I do not have to be in Charlotte, surrounding suburbs are alright too. I am looking for an upper middle class area that is child friendly with great public schools. Established neighborhood preffered. Also, tell me what you think of the Charlotte area.
Need your advice on relocation (possibly from Charlotte to Raleigh or Atlanta)…?
So my husband came home the other day and said he might have an opportunity with the company he’s working for, to expand it to another city (because for right now it’s just in the Charlotte area mostly). His boss said that he’d like to grow his business to some city like Raleigh or Atlanta (somewhere still close to Charlotte) which would mean we would have to move our family there. Again, this is just a dream of his boss’ so it’s not something that will happen or has to happen. The thing that scares me is that I have a 2 year old and 7 month old and both of our families are less than 30 minutes away and we see them a lot and I rely on mom a lot and I think that’s what scares me the most. I would of course probably not be working if we did move (because right now I only work mornings and would want a place like that but really probably couldn’t afford daycare) so I wouldn’t need to rely on my parents to watch the kids if needed, but I would be moving to a new city where we didn’t know anyone. Has anyone relocated and what was your experience? Also, would you choose Raleigh or Atlanta for a young family?
Where is the busiest upscale shopping in Charlotte?
I am moving to Charlotte and I am curious if there is an upscale shopping center or district, such as Soho in New York or Beverly Hills in LA in the Charlotte area? I have a retail store that does best when placed in a high foot traffic, upscale shopping center.
What should I see when I visit North Carolina?
I will be visiting North Carolina this summer, and I will be in the Charlotte area. What sorts of things must I see while I’m there?
What is the hotel's name in the Charlotte, NC area with the fake 'downtown' and movie theater?
I think it might be close to Carowinds Theme Park. My fiance visited it once when he was a kid, and really wants to stay at it again when we visit the Charlotte area in a couple of weeks. The ‘movie theater’ in it doesn’t show new feature films he thinks, and the downtown inside of course is fake from what he remembers.

What is a safe, affordable neighborhood in or around Charlotte, NC?
We are looking to move to the Charlotte, NC area within the next year due to a job offer my husband recently received. We currently live in New Jersey. We’ll be taking a trip there next month to check everything out, but what are some areas in or around the Charlotte area (must be within 30 minute drive to uptown Charlotte) that have good schools, are safe, and affordable? How much do houses cost in this area?
Does anyone know of any daily transportation from Charlotte to Raleigh?
I am trying to return to the Charlotte area and take a job with my company in Raleigh. Unfortunately, I don’t enjoy driving and so I am not interested in driving everyday. I am hoping to find some shuttle or express serviced that travels daily between the two. I have looked at Amtrak and they are rather costly. Thanks!
How hard is it to open a bar in Charlotte, NC?
